Excellent new local restaurant with a full service bar. We visited for the happy hour and we're thoroughly surprised and delighted. Very original menu of food and interesting cocktails and reasonable pricing. Excellent staff that were knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. Bright and welcoming decor. Will visit again soon to try the full menu which as a blend of modern American cuisine with a touch of Cajun among other influences. One of the best and most original new local places I have tried in quite some time. Kudos!

Wow...just...WOW!!! A Service Excellent, friendly, professional teamwork among the staff, to include serving/pre-bussing each other’s tables. All the waiters were helping each others tables...which enhances the entire dining experience. A Food Exciting flavors with sharing size portions A Drinks Adventurous drink menu A Atmosphere Fun, full of nice personal details and design features A- Price While on the higher side, it’s well worth it due to the food, service, and entire experience. *We will absolutely return. Looking forward to the Sunday jazz brunch.

Food was very good. Service and atmosphere are excellent. The Smoked White Fish and the Tuna Croquetas were ok...we could have done without. The Bird and the Burger were delicious. Both well cooked and flavorful. Cocktails were also very good. We'll definitely be back.

We loved our experience at Neutral Ground Bar and Kitchen! The 4 of us did our best to try everything on the menu and we were not disappointed by anything we ordered. The Ahi Tuna Tartare, the Roasted Beets, the Bird, and the Fish stood out as perfectly composed dishes that balanced bold flavors with subtle touches that really elevated the dining experience. The cocktails were inventive and delicious without being unapproachable, and the desserts were incredible. Order the pavlova and don't think twice! The service was friendly and knowledgeable and we even got a visit from Chef David Guas! Finally, the atmosphere was lively and comfortable befitting the coastal vibes of the establishment. 10/10 will be back and can't wait to try their brunch!

Went for soft opening and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, inviting decor and unique menu items. We took as wide a berth of the regional Mid Atlantic meets Gulf coast menu as we could. Our server kept us updated on the status of our food and proudly provided recommendations that they personally like on the menu. Cocktail variety was good and had some nonalcoholic ones. The bayou pimento cheese was delicious, we slathered the saltines with a ton of dip and still had some leftover. There was no free bread but the daily bread appetizer was light and came with a soft chive butter. The aji tuna tartare was lightly flavored with coconut and served with fried wonton skins which honestly tasted stronger than the tartare. The NG Caesar used roasted halved baby gem lettuce heads that we had to cut up ourselves but it did have some powerful flavors like fresh anchovy fillets and grana padano crisps. The most feedback I have is for the mains, the bone in pork chop was tasty but towards the upper end of saltiness and drynesd. They asked us how well to cook it and we requested medium but got medium well verging on well-done. I understand the hesitation on undercooking pork but if you can pull it off it'd be a real winner. Luckily the fennel apple slaw does well to add moisture back to the pork chop. Same thing goes for the shrimps which were huge but stuck to the shell and lost a bit of moisture indicating they were overcooked. The flavor of the shrimp and sauce were good, so just need to get the cook on the shrimp right. Meanwhile the side of sauteed spinach had the perfect texture and flavor and the black pepper pavlova with stewed blueberries was pretty much the perfect sweetness and texture. Overall for the soft opening, we enjoyed most everything we tried. Some work could be used on the main proteins but overall a good experience.

Dropped in here last minute and was pleasantly surprised. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and had a great experience. Bartender provided great service and conversation. The oysters were the highlight, and we chose the pork chop for our main entree. It was juicy and perfectly cooked. We added the cauliflower dish and loved it. We passed on dessert but they looked delicious. We will definitely go back, will try to sit outside and have the burger. Highly recommend.
